A group of whale watchers on a trip to San Ignacio Lagoon in Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula are extremely fortunate. They spotted a massive humpback whale in the open sea.

Everyone sat open-mouthed in awe and took pictures of the magnificent marine mammal. To celebrate, a woman on the boat stood up and threw her arms in the air. Awesome!

Fortunately, onlookers captured the majestic creature in the final moments before it vanished into the sea. It was literally a few dozen feet away from their boat. The scene was fantastic! Despite the fact that they were looking in the wrong direction, they did not pass up a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Eric J Smith, a 49-year-old documentary director and photographer from Los Angeles, was among those on the trip who captured incredible images of the massive humpback whale.

“She slowly and silently raised her head above the water to take a look around.” “She quickly sank below the surface when everyone turned around,” He stated.

Smith was on another boat at the time and witnessed the entire incident. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing, and thankfully, he was able to capture it on film.

When the photographer shared the whale photos on his social media accounts, they quickly went viral. Fantastic and unbelievable are two of the most common words used to describe his images by people all over the world.
