Everyone in the family must be overjoyed to have a new addition. The news that you have a human sibling is exciting news for your furry guys just as much as it is for you. Sure enough, that’s what we see in the family’s online Malamute photos and videos!

The Malamute Family of three (mom, dad, and daughter) have become Internet celebrities thanks to their interesting accounts chronicling their daily lives with their pets (a cat called Milo and a Golden Retriever named Buddy).

Baby Nathan was born a few weeks ago to proud parents Emma and John. Shane and Emma are overjoyed to welcome their newborn son into their family and share him with big sister Amelia and their animal children.

Even though animals can’t speak, there are many methods to communicate their excitement. Shane posted a photo of one of the dogs greeting the infant as he was bouncing his fluffy body with joy on Instagram. The dogs took an instant like to Nathan and went into protective mode as soon as they saw him. They all took turns remaining with the baby, with the exception of Buddy, the Golden Retriever.

Buddy’s favorite thing to do is to snuggle up close to Nathan. Because the infant is still too little to hold a blanket, the dog takes on that role instead. The fuzzy creature occasionally sleeps close to the infant and places his nose on Nathan’s legs.

Dear Buddy follows his new baby brother or sister wherever he goes because he wants to gaze into his eyes. This Golden Retriever has met a newborn baby and now won’t leave his side. He’s like a little shadow, always close by (well, so he can’t travel too far since he needs to be held), but always there. “For some reason, all of our dogs seem to automatically go into a tiny fluffy protective mode,” dad Shane said.
