Beautiful pit bull mix Mama Pickles was found wandering the streets by herself.
The gorgeous puppy needed help, and the rescuers noticed that she needed it right away since the 2-year-old dog was significantly pregnant.
Pickles was rescued by animal control officers who were investigating her mysterious appearance.
They tracked out Pickles’ owners, but alas, they’d decided she wasn’t needed anymore and abandoned her at the shelter.
Fortunately, the pit bull was quickly discovered by Pits & Giggles Rescue, a nonprofit organization that specializes in caring for pregnant and nursing dogs, as well as their puppies and kittens. Despite the fact that Mama Pickles’ pregnant belly made it hard for her to get around, she couldn’t help but jump up and down with excitement as she met her new rescue friends.
An animal photographer and rescue worker named Lauren Casteen Sykes told Bored Panda, “Pits & Giggles Rescue has a goal like no other.” They’ve mastered the art of emergency maternity care. They save pregnant and nursing dogs from shelters and make sure they get the care they need to have healthy litters. Each mother and her litter of puppies are spayed or neutered before being adopted, and only the most suitable homes are chosen for them. Stunning photos of these mothers and their children will get them the attention they need to be adopted.
Lauren of Enchanted Hills Photography takes pictures of cute dogs at Pits & Giggles Rescue for free so that they can find forever homes. A volunteer shared that they were inspired to take maternity photos because “Pits & Giggles contacted us and said they had just taken in a Mama from the shelter who was the proudest, happiest, most caring little thing.” Lauren had already planned a maternity photoshoot for Pickles, the pregnant pit bull when she first saw her at the rescue center. Adorableness ensues, of course.

Mama Pickle’s modeling skills wowed the crowd; everyone thought she was a true diva who understood how to use the camera. It was hard not to laugh at the beautiful pit bull’s carelessness and goofiness as her huge stomach kept getting in the way of these dog maternity shots. She’s a legit runway star. She can’t walk the runway because her legs are too small, but she enjoyed all the attention and love,” Lauren said. Convincing Pickles to quit kissing us was the hardest part! She longed to be petted and stroked, especially on the belly. She was utterly captivated by this novel idea she had heard of called “love.
Not long after the pregnancy photos were taken, Mama Pickles gave birth to eight beautiful, healthy female puppies. It was only natural to take another snapshot of the ecstatic birth mother and her eight cute puppies. Pickles’s demeanor was noticeably more regal as she stood next to her adorable offspring. The people who saved her are unanimous in their assessment that she is a wonderful mother.
In an interview with the press, Lauren said, “This lady was definitely exploited frequently for breeding, and we’re eager to make sure this is her very last litter.” In a few months, Mama Pickles and her eight puppies will be seeking new, loving homes.
