Rescued Puppy with a Big Appetite Has a Full Belly – Thanks to You

A Lab For Life recently shared a heartwarming update about how donated pet food is helping one very hungry puppy thrive.
In rural Oklahoma, seven puppies were born as part of an unplanned litter. They were being given away for free, but A Lab For Life stepped in to ensure they found safe, loving homes. These adorable pups are a mix of golden retriever, lab, and poodle—and were all given baseball-themed names.
The largest of the bunch? A lovable fluffball named Roger Hornsby, affectionately called Hornsby. At just three months old, he already weighs 33 pounds and still has a lot of growing to do!
“He’s got a big appetite, and only Purina One Large Breed Puppy Formula can keep up with him,” the rescue shared. Thanks to your generous donations, Hornsby always has a full bowl and a happy heart. He’s a sweet pup and is well on his way to finding a forever home.
The rescue added, “Supplying food for a foster pup can be a big burden—and sometimes a barrier—for volunteers. That’s why we’re so grateful for the support. We truly couldn’t save these pups without your help. The only thing a dog needs more than love is food!”
